Your everyday life at MissionPoint
As a Coordinating Advisor at MissionPoint, you will be part of several client teams and provide primary support to the Lead Advisor and Technical Advisor. As independent advisors, we always work for the customer’s interests and have a unique position where we are always on the customer’s side of the table. At the same time, we have good conditions for understanding both the customer and its suppliers, which is the basis for effective cooperation and good results. Our customer teams act as advisors and IT leaders in medium-sized companies where we deliver IT management as a function. Together, we work proactively on the further development and streamlining of customers’ IT solutions by ensuring that the right activities and projects are prioritised taking into account a rapidly changing IT landscape. The team acts close to the customer and its suppliers in strategic, tactical and operational issues where we act as architects, clients, project managers and quality assurers in technical projects. In the role of Coordinating Advisor, you will have the opportunity to further develop your career as an IT manager and/or technical expert advisor. We want to build on your strengths!

Examples of tasks:

  • Participate in the team’s requirements gathering, analysis and problem-solving around customers’ IT strategy.
  • You will be part of the work on streamlining and further developing the customers’ IT/system environments to ensure that these are optimal based on their needs by:
  • Ongoing proactive improvement work
  • Supporting, managing and quality assuring technical projects
  • Ensure continuous progress in the customer’s IT work
  • Conducting dialog and setting requirements with IT suppliers
  • Maintain IT documentation and work on an ongoing basis with, among other things risk analysis, system matrices, processes and procedures
  • Monitor technological developments and find the right application of new functions and services for the customer
  • Update the data-driven Cost Control and Insight services and carry out ongoing quality reviews and analysis of customers’ IT deliveries, including includes the follow-up of:
    • Costs and cases
    • License utilisation
    • Client and entity compliance
    • Risky logins, account changes, permissions and administrator roles
    • Microsoft Secure Score

Background and experience

We expect you to have a few years of experience with generalist knowledge in IT. Ideally, you should have completed a post-secondary education in a relevant field from a University of Applied Sciences or a Computer Science program at college/university level.

In addition, we believe that you:

  • Willing to develop as a consultant/advisor and be our brand in your delivery
  • Likely to have worked technically and preferably close to end users
  • A broad technical understanding of different types of systems and IT services

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience of working with Microsoft services and products, e.g.: Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Experience in an outsourcing organisation or system provider
  • Cutting-edge experience in a specific IT area

You are fluent in Swedish and can use English in your profession

Your everyday life at MissionPoint
As an IT technical advisor at MissionPoint, you will support IT managers in medium-sized companies and public authorities. You are part of our customer teams and work proactively on further development and streamlining of customers’ IT environments. You act closely with the customer and its suppliers on strategic, tactical and operational issues and as an architect, initiator and quality assurer in technical projects.

Examples of tasks:

  • Streamline and further develop customers’ IT environments to ensure they are optimal for their needs by:
    • Proactively identify improvement measures
    • Acting as an architect and quality assurer in technical projects
    • Establishing the IT plan and driving its execution
    • Work with requirement setting, analysis and problem solving on customers’ IT strategy and operationally on planning and projects
    • Ordering, requirements gathering and quality assurance of IT initiatives for the customer
  • Where necessary, lead or sub-project manage IT projects
  • Be responsible for business intelligence in the relevant technology area.
  • Conduct current situation and needs analysis with new customers

You will do this together with our close-knit customer teams, who believe in team performance and have a lot of fun together.

Background and experience
You have a broad technical understanding, particularly of the Microsoft service portfolio; both for traditional server environments and cloud services such as Microsoft 365/Azure. You are likely to have worked closely with end users at some point in your career, perhaps responsible for a technical delivery, an IT environment or working as an architect/sales support. You are analytical and have a good understanding of data processing (e.g. PowerPivot/PowerBI etc.) and a basic understanding of business and IT economics. You set high quality standards for yourself and the products you deliver and are comfortable producing decision-making documents and reports. You are comfortable in dialogues with both operational technicians and management teams.

Education and qualifications

You have:

  • Good understanding of Microsoft-based IT environments, both from traditional on premise with AD and Exchange to from Azure and Microsoft365.
  • Established industry experience such as IT consultant, architect, technical Pre-Sale, TAM or similar in Managed Services, IT outsourcing or systems integration.
  • Experience in administering, designing and/or implementing solutions based on Microsoft cloud services, e.g.:
    • Modern Workplace based on Microsoft 365, Intune and Autopilot
    • Infrastructure and application operations on Microsoft Azure
  • Proven ability to produce decision-making documents and reports
  • Ability to deal with different decision-makers within the client’s business
  • Experience in technical requirements definition and needs analysis
  • Experience in technical project management

It is also an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in leading workshops
  • Basic skills in PowerShell, PowerApps or Azure Automation.
  • Good understanding of Azure Governance and Cloud Adoption Framework

Lead Advisor

Does it sound exciting but you may feel that you lack sufficient experience or some specific competences? We are now also looking for a Coordinating Advisor – a more junior position that acts as administrative support to the Lead Advisors with the aim of growing into the role in the long term.

Your everyday life at MissionPoint:
As a Lead Advisor (LA) at MissionPoint, you advise the customer or act as an IT leader in medium-sized companies and government agencies. You lead MissionPoint’s engagement with the customer, project manage the delivery and coordinate our customer team. The customer team consists, in addition to yourself, of a Technical Advisor and a Coordinating Advisor, and is supported by a business intelligence process, a management organisation and a project organisation.

The Lead Advisor is also responsible for driving the delivery of what we believe the customer benefits from, both in terms of service delivery and change management.

As a person, we believe that you inspire confidence, are humble and unpretentious in your work, support others and take responsibility for your delivery and results.

We are a small organisation so every employee has a foot in several of these organisational parts. We organise ourselves to achieve fruitful teamwork in all our customer deliveries. Examples of tasks are:

  • Establish, operate and continuously maintain (add initiatives & reprioritise) IT plans with a 12-month horizon.
  • Drive proactivity in close collaboration with the customer through close dialog and through clearly defined tactical meetings and annual strategy workshops.
  • ensuring that IT costs are accurate and in line with market conditions
  • Conducting dialog and setting requirements with IT suppliers
  • Technical follow-up and optimisation
  • Project management of change initiatives
  • Updated IT governance documentation (responsibility matrix, system matrix, risk analysis, etc.)
  • Coordinate business intelligence for the client by gathering relevant suggestions from MissionPoint’s distributed business intelligence.

You’ll do it together with our close-knit customer teams who believe in team performance and have a lot of fun together.

Background and experience
We believe that you have good generalist knowledge in IT with a background as for example IT manager, IT consultant, business area manager, system advisor or Pre-Sale in the outsourcing industry. You are likely to have worked technically at some point in your career.

Education and qualifications

You have:

  • Established background in one or more of the above roles or similar with at least 5 years of experience in the role.
  • Generally good IT delivery skills from previous roles, in particular skills around how IT services and digitalisation deliver business value to an organisation.
  • Good skills as a client and experience of working with suppliers on requirements.

It is also an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in managing IT projects
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field
  • Concrete experience in IT strategy work or IT governance for businesses
  • Management experience
  • Strong interest in, or cutting-edge experience in, a specific IT area, preferably system-related.
