“The word that describes MissionPoint is commitment – the security of knowing that they are on our side and acting from what is most valuable to us. We get strategic support, cost control and a long-term partner we can trust.”
When growth became a challenge
When Stenvalvet grew rapidly in the mid-2010s, IT did not keep up. Many systems were used in parallel, documents were stored without structure and costs were difficult to monitor.
Systems and document management had grown organically and unstructured over time, which made it difficult to get an overview and work efficiently.
“We got what we wanted, but it took a lot of time and effort on our part. Now it looks completely different, when we had to restructure our Sharepoint, among other things, and ensure that documents were in the right place from the start,” says Thomas Åsberg, General Counsel and IT Manager at Stenvalvet.
The demands for security, continuity and clear decision-making data increased for management. Stenvalvet did not need more systems – they needed structure, control and experienced expertise on their side.
Step by step towards a more stable foundation
Stenvalvest began a collaboration with MissionPoint to strengthen IT governance and create a long-term structure – a work that has now been ongoing for over seven years.
The journey has not been a one-off effort, but a continuous effort as the company has grown.
- First it was about creating order and order – structuring documents, analyzing agreements and building a more stable IT environment with the right suppliers involved based on a clear sourcing strategy.
- Then came strategic decisions: moving to cloud services, implementing SharePoint and developing new analysis and business systems.
- Today, the focus is on continuity and development: risk management, supplier follow-up and ensuring that the IT plan goes hand in hand hand in the budget process.
"We have gone from patching and fixing to thinking strategically. Today we make more conscious decisions where IT is a natural part of the business," says Thomas.
A support for management
What Stenvalvet values most is the security of always having someone by their side – an expert team with great commitment that functions as a supporting part of the company's IT management, without them having to build one themselves.
For Stenvalvet, the value is not just about technology, but about the security of always having an experienced team with a clear responsibility for proactivity by their side. This improves the management's decision-making basis and creates structure in the IT work.
Through the collaboration, IT management has become a natural part of the overall management, with a focus on long-term planning and control:
- Cost control: MissionPoint follows up on agreements, conducts negotiations and ensures predictable IT costs.
- Security: Risks are identified and managed, with clear processes and continuity planning.
- Decision support: IT plan and budget are integrated, which gives the board and management a better basis.
- Long-term perspective: The collaboration has developed in parallel with Stenvalvet's own growth journey.
The collaboration has developed in step with Stenvalvet's own growth. Through a clear structure and continuous follow-up, the company has strengthened both control and decision-making basis within IT management.
The work has been characterized by open dialogue and shared responsibility, where Stenvalvet's management has been actively engaged in driving change and long-term improvement together with MissionPoint.
The customer's words
“The greatest value is security – always having someone on our side who acts with our best interests in mind. MissionPoint has given us both structure in the IT environment and a better decision-making basis, which allows management to make more well-founded decisions.”
